Safe Schools and Healthy Students Initiatives

New York school districts are participating in a federal Safe Schools/Healthy Students initiative with the Botvin LifeSkills Training program.


 Family Links Inc. receives $32,000

Family Links Inc. was recently awarded $32,000 from the Alabama Department of Public Health-Tobacco Control Branch for tobacco education and prevention efforts in Calhoun County. Part of the award was used to implement Botvin LifeSkills Training in the Calhoun County School District for sixth-grade students.


Sumner County underage drinking number decreases

Now SCCDAT is adding to their arsenal by adding the Botvin Life Skills class. "It's the number one prevention program in the nation," Bartelson explained.

in-school bullying incident and what another school is doing to help combat the problem. An alternative Milwaukee public school teaches the LST high school program to help students learn key lessons such as respect and conflict-resolution.

LST recently added Online Training workshops for the Elementary and Transitions programs to their list of services.
