LST Helps West Virginia Kick the Habit

Due to high rates of tobacco use, the West Virginia Division of Tobacco Prevention began implementing a research-based, comprehensive tobacco control program.

The results of the program show a 34% quit rate and a 72% reduction in tobacco over a single school year.  In addition, over eighty percent of eligible students received the Botvin LifeSkills Training tobacco prevention curriculum, far exceeding the target for the most recent school year.
