About This Opportunity
We are excited to offer an outreach opportunity to introduce Botvin LifeSkills Training (LST) to your students and teachers. This opportunity aims to expand access to the Botvin LST Middle School, High School, and Transitions programs at no cost. If your goal is to provide your students with essential life skills to prevent vaping, smoking, drinking, and other high-risk behaviors, we invite you to be a part of this impactful program.
This opportunity is available to community organizations, school districts, and public, private, or charter schools that want to bring top-tier, evidence-based prevention programs to the youth they serve.

LST Middle School (Print) OR e-LST Middle School (e-Learning)
All middle school students and teachers also receive access to LST Galaxia, an interactive online game.
LST High School (Print) or e-LST High School (e-Learning)
LST Transitions (Print) or e-LST Transitions (e-Learning)
1. Implement the Botvin LST program(s) with fidelity.
Teach the program faithfully following the teacher’s materials
Teach the program one or more times per week
Teach the lessons using the interactive techniques in the materials
2. Teacher(s) complete an online or onsite training for Botvin LST
3. Identify a Botvin LST Leader (primary contact person) for your implementation
4. Complete (1) brief teacher feedback survey after each implementation cycle
- Identify grades/ages, setting, program level(s), and implementation start and end date
- Identify a Botvin LST Leader for your implementation. (usually the person who submits the application)
- Prepare a Letter of Support from a School Administrator or Agency Executive Director on letterhead
- Complete and submit the online application
Once you have the necessary buy-in and support from your stakeholders, gathered your letter of support (on letterhead), you are ready to apply online.
Who can participate?
Any agency or institution that serves youth can apply. This opportunity is open to school districts, schools, community agencies, faith-based organizations, and more.
How many years can we participate?
The potential for multiple years of participation will be contingent upon the fidelity of implementation and availability of funds.
We are a large district/school/agency and serve many students. Are we eligible?
Absolutely. Let us know how how many students you want to reach and we can work with you on a solution.
Do we need to reapply each year?
There will not be a need to reapply as long as the Year 1implementation meets expectations or reach goals submittedin your original application.
We implement prevention multiple times per year. Can we be funded for each cycle?
Yes. As long as past implementations met the expectations or reach goals of your application.
We are interested in the e-learning version only. Can we apply?
Absolutely. The outreach program covers all materials and training for both print and e-learning versions.
Some of our teachers deliver programs online and some prefer print materials. Can we do both?
Yes. The print and e-learning versions are stand-alone versions. However, if some teachers want to implement the e-learning version with their students and others want to implement the print version, that is acceptable.
Can we switch from print to e-learning version or vice-versa?
Yes. For example, if you start implementing print you may choose to change to the e-learning version (or vice-versa) AFTER your implementation cycle of the selected version is completed.
